On November 24th students of the senior year in our school went to England for universities’ Open Days! At first we went to Luton, where Bedfordshire University is located. We joined the groups and all visited the courses we’re interested in. We saw the Arts and Design department, the Law department and many, many more. Then we visited the six-floor library that amazed us with its modernity and functionality. We all loved the amount of amazing books there.

We ate dinner at the local pub where we tried traditional British fish and chips! It was delicious and we all enjoyed our time there.

Then we went to London! We got out of the train at King’s Cross Station and got to our hostel by tube. We started our sightseeing trip of London by visiting the Cumberland Wharf, the approximate site of Mayflower’s departure, the ship that brought the Pilgrims to North America. Next we saw Buckingham Palace in all its glory and St James’ Park. We observed the squirrels and birds that live there and took lots of photos! We saw Big Ben and the London Eye where we had our lunch. We visited a second-hand books and comics market that got everyone rummaging through the books of all genres to find something just for them.

We visited Tate Modern Gallery that stunned us with its works and paintings. There were swings in the main hall! We saw St Paul’s Cathedral and visited the National Gallery. For the dinner we visited Chinatown and tried real Chinese cuisine in the heart of London!

On our second day in London we visited Coventry University, the London Campus. Two Polish students told us about their experiences of studying in London and after that we did a group activity. We visited Coventry’s student hall that has its own cinema, gym and a café on 32nd floor of the building!

After that we travelled to Wembley Stadium that was absolutely brilliant! Its huge capacity amazed everyone. After seeing Piccadilly Circus we took night photos of the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge.

Lastly, we spent our last money in Coventry Garden and in the morning the next day we travelled back to Luton to the airport. Overall, the trip definitely helped a lot of people to make a decision about their future university and was very enjoyable!

Dzięki dopisującej pogodzie, dobrej organizacji uczniów, a także wyrozumiałości nauczycielek spędziliśmy czas w rewelacyjnej atmosferze. Wyjazd pozwolił klasom zintegrować się i lepiej poznać swoich nauczycieli. Mieliśmy szansę używać języka angielskiego w praktyce i przekonać się, że nie jest on barierą do studiowania w Anglii. Głównym celem wycieczki było pokazanie uczelni angielskich, oferujących wiele interesujących kierunków oraz sposobu prowadzenia wykładów, który skupia się na integracji i pracy w grupach studentów.

Najlepsza wycieczka. Nie tylko nudne zwiedzanie ale poznawanie życia studenckiego w UK!!! Idealny sposób by się przekonać, że warto wyjechać na studia za granicę.

Wycieczka była bardzo wiedzodajna, a rozmowa ze studentami pozwoliła na wyjaśnienie wielu aspektów związanych za studiowaniem w Anglii. Przy okazji można było pouczyć vibe Londonu za dnia i nocą oraz poznać różny charakter kilku uczelni.

It was a really great, well-organized trip during which we could see how English universities work and get to know how it is, living as a student in England . It helped us to decide if we, for sure, want to study abroad. Also, we had an opportunity to visit interesting places and spent a really nice time with friends in our FREE TIME in London.

After six years of studying English I had no possibility to use this language in practice with a foreigner. I'm glad that I could take part in the trip, because I had a lot of chances to talk with foreign students and lecturers. I also gain confidence in using English, which was the most important for me.

Wycieczka do Anglii okazała się być niezwykle ciekawym doświadczeniem. Udało się zrealizować obydwa główne cele wycieczki- zwiedzić Londyn i okoliczne miasteczka oraz dowiedzieć się więcej na temat tamtejszych uniwersytetów. Zajęcia prowadzone przez pracowników placówek, a także rozmowy ze studentami pozwoliły na rozeznanie się w tym temacie. Atmosfera w czasie wycieczki była w porządku, a dzięki dobrej organizacji mieliśmy dość sporo czasu wolnego pomimo grafiku wypełnionego po brzegi miejscami godnymi odwiedzenia.

I'm dreaming about studying in London and due to our trip to England I had an opportunity to see different universities and meet students who study there. It really helped me with making a decision about university and I hope that it was my new beginning, not only a school trip.

Podczas wycieczki do Anglii, która łączyła w sobie zarówno wizyty na uniwersytetach,jak i poznawanie wspaniałego Londynu, najbardziej podobało mi się zwiedzanie obiektów muzealnych oraz spacery po stolicy Zjednoczonego Królestwa. Wyjazd nie tylko pozwolił mi zwiedzić kolejną europejską stolicę, ale także sprawił, iż czuję się pewniej używając języka angielskiego.

Wycieczkę do Anglii zdecydowanie uważam za udaną, bo poza wzmożoną kontrolą na lotnisku ( spowodowaną moim, przyznaję, podejrzanym wyglądem ) nie spotkały mnie żadne nieprzyjemności. Nie zabrakło niczego, ani walorów edukacyjnych, ani integracji z innymi uczestnikami czy internetu, miejsc ze smacznym jedzeniem i dobrego samopoczucia. Część pieniędzy nawet wróciła, więc na pamiątki starczyło. A skoro wróciliśmy cali i zdrowi to lepiej być nie mogło.

Wycieczkę do Anglii uważam za bardzo udaną. Wszystkie wizyty na uniwersytetach pozwoliły mi poszerzyć moje zainteresowania i ułatwiły mi podjęcie decyzji odnośnie mojej policealnej przyszłości. Była to dobra odskocznia od zwykłego chodzenia do szkoły. Pomimo że byłam w Londynie już drugi raz, zachwycił mnie on ponownie. Cały wyjazd był bardzo dokładnie zorganizowany, a atmosfera, która panowała w grupie jeszcze bardziej powodowała, że nie chciało wracać się do codzienności.
